PAS Vr. Alcohol Screening & Verification System

The PAS Vr. is a hand-held, rapid alcohol detection and screening instrument using a platinum electrochemical fuel cell sensor of high alcohol specificity, accuracy and stability. Designed to satisfy and meet the rigorous standards of a D.O.T. & Approved Alcohol Screening Device (ASD) when used with a mouthpiece.

The instrument is designed specifically for use by law enforcement, correctional officers and security personnel. It can be operated with one hand, leaving the other completely free. The PAS Vr. is easy to use , and has been designed to withstand the physical conditions experienced in operational situations. It is resistant to adverse weather conditions and mechanical shocks.

The PAS Vr. may also be used passively (without mouthpiece) to quickly screen large numbers of subjects for the presence of breath alcohol simply by having a subject speak. The user can screen a subject in as little as 15 seconds to determine if alcohol is present on a subject's breath. The device can also be used to screen any open container for the presence of alcohol.
